Huys Dever is a small but beautiful castle located in Lisse. It was built after 1375 by Reinier Dever as a stronghold and was located at the edge of a lake called the Lisser Poel. Now the Castle has a small archaeological museum and the displays here are those ancient things that were dug up from the moat around the building.

Huys Dever now is used to host events such as weddings and other gatherings. So if you plan to visit the castle, find out beforehand if it is available or not. The castle is open to visit us Wednesday to Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
